Tessa Fayers
Tessa Fayers is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, working at the Western Eye Hospital (adults) and St Mary’s Hospital (children).
Caroline Wilde
Miss Caroline Wilde is an award-winning ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon, specialising in both surgical and non-surgical procedures around the eyes, forehead, and mid-face.
Erika Damato
Dr Damato is one of a handful of highly specialist consultant Medical Ophthalmologists in the UK, specialising in ocular inflammation, uveitis and thyroid eye disease. She is recognised nationally as an authority on the complex management of Thyroid Eye Disease patients. She leads the Regional Medical Ophthalmology service at Addenbrooke’s hospital, Cambridge, which is recognised as a specialist centre for uveitis. In addition, she runs the immunosuppression clinics within the Orbital service at Moorfields Eye hospital, directly managing complex patients with thyroid eye disease and orbital inflammation, associated with systemic inflammatory disorders.
ALIA ISSA
Dr. Alia Issa is an esteemed ophthalmologist bringing a wealth of expertise and a passion for aesthetic oculoplastics to our renowned clinic in London.
Dr. Alia obtained her medical license from the prestigious University of Dresden, Germany. Her commitment to advancing eye care led to the completion of a PhD in Glaucoma Research from the Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus, Dresden.
With a foundation built at Schlossparkklinik in Berlin, a Teaching Hospital of the Charite, Berlin, and Elblandklinikum Radebeul, a Teaching Hospital of the University Hospital of Dresden, Dr. Alia underwent comprehensive ophthalmology training.
Manish Raval
Manish is a consultant anaesthetist with his NHS practice at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Previously he was employed at Guy’s & St Thomas Hospitals. He trained mainly across London and the South East also spending two years in Melbourne, Australia. Voluntary work with charities & aid agencies has taken him across the world: East Timor, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Peru.His career now centres on ophthalmic anaesthesia but he especially enjoys the medical challenge of looking after children of all ages. His clinical interests extend to resuscitation: he chairs the Trust Resuscitation Committee and is an instructor for life support courses. Manish is a keen educator and is an examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetists professional examinations.
Miran Kadr
Miran is a Consultant Anaesthetist primarily based at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Having qualified at Kings College London School of Medicine, and trained at Barts & The London School of Anaesthesia, Miran has a vast amount of experience in all aspects of anaesthesia. He has completed fellowships in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Peri-operative Medicine at The Royal Marsden Hospital. He now specialises in anaesthesia for ophthalmic surgery, sedation techniques and paediatrics. He is also the airway lead at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Miran is passionate about achieving a positive-patient experience, and employs an individualised patient centred approach to his care.
Jo Neagu
“Nurse Jo”, is a senior nurse with over eight years of experience specialising in non-surgical aesthetic treatments. Jo held a number of senior nursing roles in private healthcare, perfecting her clinical skills to an advance level. Jo works alongside Daniel Ezra, supporting patients undergoing surgery both in the pre and post-operative periods. Jo specialises in maintenance treatments such as fillers, profhilo, mesotherapy and advice on creams/topical treatments to maximise skincare and enhance post-operative results, ensuring that patients get their desired result. In addition to this, Jo’s unique expertise in periocular aesthetics means that she provides skincare consultations after surgery which are included in the pricing for all aesthetic eyelid surgery offered as part of Daniel Ezra’s Practice.
Adam Bull
Dr. Adam Bull is an oculoplastic surgeon specialising in both aesthetic eyelid and reconstructive surgery. After completing his general ophthalmology training in the North West Deanery, he went on to pursue a fellowship in Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery. Dr. Bull has since worked as a Consultant Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgeon at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital within the NHS, and has joined the Ezra Clinic.
Administrative Team
Karen Papier
Karen has worked within medical practices since 1987, starting in the world of obstetrics and gynaecology, fertility, and then orthopaedics before coming to work for Daniel Ezra in 2013. She has been with him since the early days of his private practice and has enjoyed watching the practice grow and is now Daniel’s practice manager. Karen’s passion is football, and she is a big Liverpool fan who is always happy to show anyone a photo of her beloved Cockapoo, Archie.
Mandy Saffer
Mandy joined the team in July 2018, this is a new venture for her and one which she is very much enjoying. Prior to working for Daniel Ezra, Mandy’s roles have varied from business developer manager to working one-to-one with children with special needs. In her spare time Mandy enjoys volunteering, going to the gym and looking after her family.
Aly Shalson
Prior to joining Daniel Ezra’s practice in 2018, Aly spent her early career working in public relations in consumer marketing. She took a career break to bring up her three children before becoming a cookery writer and recipe developer where she became a major contributor to eight mainstream cookery books, five of which accompanied a popular TV series. In her spare time Aly enjoys the gym, theatre and watching TV documentaries.
Julie Davidson
Julie is the newest member of the team, previously working in public relations and communications for fashion and beauty brands and more recently a small charity. She likes writing and hearing people’s stories and is excited to be part of Daniel Ezra’s close-knit team. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, going out with friends and doing Pilates.
